Hawarden RAM 50th celebration

Consecrated on the 25th of January 1975, Hawarden Royal Ark Mariner Lodge, No 838 celebrated their 50th anniversary on Thursday the 8th of January.

The Provincial Grand Master, R.W.Bro. John Stanley Evans, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master W.Bro. Colin Anthony Lemin, Past Provincial Grand Master R.W.Bro. Peter Talbot and many of the current Provincial team – although depleted somewhat by storm Goretti – were there to help celebrate the occasion.

All present witnessed the Elevation of Bro. Anthony Beckett, a ceremony beautifully conducted to the highest standards by the Worshipful Commander, W.Bro. William John Taylor, and his all the Officers who took part.

Once the ritual was over the PGM occupied the Chair to present the Lodge with their 50th anniversary certificate. He further marked the evening by bestowing a field promotion to Provincial RAMG rand Rank on a very surprised, but highly deserving Scribe, W.Bro. John Myles Cooper, in recognition of all his hard work.

There was also a very generous donation from the Lodge to the North Wales Mark Benevolent Fund.

Following the formalities, all the brethren retired to enjoy a very fine Festive Board and excellent company.

Good luck Hawarden RAM for the next 50 years.
