Supporting the North Wales Mountain Rescue Association

Another example of the co-operation between Mark and Craft Freemasons, St. Mabon Mark Lodge of Mark Master Masons donated the sum of £250 to the North Wales Mountain Rescue Association, supporting the North Wales Freemasons Community Engagement Initiative launched by the (Craft) Provincial Grand Master, R.W.Bro. John Charles Hoult.

Following a talk from their Chairman, Tim Radford, at its January meeting, St Mabon WM, W.Bro. Stephen Bithell, and Secretary W.Bro. Steven Tilston, presented the donation at the Rescue Association’s Oggie Base at Capel Curig, where they received a tour of the facilities and explanation on how the Association operates its rescue service.

North Wales Mountain Rescue Association consist of six mountain rescue teams, a lowland search team, a cave rescue team, and a search dogs team. It works in partnership with North Wales Police, the Welsh Ambulance Service, the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service to provide a volunteer-led 24/7 rescue service.
