Team Visit to Welchpool RAM and Mark

On the 6th of March, the Provincial Grand Master of North Wales R.W.Bro. John Stanley Evans together with his Deputy W.Bro. Colin Anthony Lemin and his full Provincial Team were delighted to attend Welchpool Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners and Welchpool Mark Lodge to celebrate a new member and some extraordinary landmarks.

At the RAM meeting, Bro. Mathew Young was Elevated in a most professional way by the Worshipful Commander, W.Bro. S. Rigby and his Officers.

This meeting was immediately followed by the Mark meeting where no less than three members of the Lodge were all celebrating 50 years of continuous service to the Order, namely W.Bro. T. Alun Jones, W.Bro. R. Michael Wynne Griffith and W.Bro. George Findlay Bell Stewart.

Their roots in Mark Masonry being spread throughout the UK but the majority being in Welshpool, the Provincial Grand Master gave a recap of their Masonic journeys during the ceremony. With R.W.Bro. Angus Hannigan GSW, who is a member of Welchpool Lodge also being present, the Provincial Grand Master surprised W.Bro. Mike Griffith with a field promotion to PPGJW and W.Bro. George Stewart to PPGSW for their dedication to the Order. W.Bro. T. Alun is already a seasoned Grand Officer.

With their certificates presented the entire Lodge rose to show their appreciation to all three with extended applause.

The meeting concluded, all retired to the Festive Board where those gathered enjoyed a sumptuous Festive Board and more of ‘The Magic of the Mark’
