It was an early start for our PGM, Deputy PGM and the Provincial Grand Secretary Designate on the 14th of March as they made their way to York for the installation of the new Provincial Grand Master for the Province of North and East Yorkshire, V.W.Bro. Paul David Braham.

A number of North Wales Brethren, including of course the PGM and his Deputy PGM, attending the March Grand Lodge meeting in London.

Fflint Lodge Installation

March 6, 2026 Mark

The Installation ceremony at the Flint Lodge of Mark Master Masons saw the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. James Montgomery, install the Master Elect Bro. Brian Evans in an impeccable manner. All the Officers played their part very well and with the Addresses delivered perfectly. Mong other dignitaries present was W.Bro. Philip Edwards, Past Deputy Provincial Grand Master.

Team Visit to Welchpool RAM and Mark

On the 6th of March, the Provincial Grand Master of North Wales R.W.Bro. John Stanley Evans together with his Deputy W.Bro. Colin Anthony Lemin and his full Provincial Team were delighted to attend Welchpool Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners and Welchpool Mark Lodge to celebrate a new member and some extraordinary landmarks.

Maen Clo Jubilee Celebration

On the 26th of February the PGM, Deputy PGM and the Provincial Team were in attendance at Elwy Hall in Rhyl for Maen Clo Mark Lodge No. 1471’s Jubilee celebration.

In 1977, a young man by the name of Bryn Hughes joined the Army Cadets run in the area by a Major Robin Jones.

Fast forward 48 years and the now W.Bro. Bryn Hughes, Provincial Grand Senior Warden in the Mark Masonic Province of North Wales, attended Elffin Lodge of Mark Master Masons in Caernarfon where the Worshipful Master is non other than the now W.Bro Robin Jones MBE, who has finally made it into the chair.

District of Spain Grand Assembly 2026

The District of Spain Grand Assembly took place on Friday 6th & Saturday 7th February 2026 in Benidorm.

Team Visit to St David’s Lodge in Llandudno

The final Provincial Team visit of 2025 saw the Provincial Grand Master and his Deputy along with a large contingent of Acting Officers attend the oldest Mark lodge in North Wales – St David’s Lodge No 38 in Llandudno.

Installation of W.Bro. Paul Maddocks at St Mabon

An Extra special night for North Wales Mark Masonry.

With over 80 attendees and in front of the R.W. Provincial Grand Master John Stanley Evans and his full Team, St Mabon Mark Lodge No. 919 held their Installation meeting at Ruabon Masonic Hall.

Extra special for several reasons:

Firstly as it saw R.W.Bro. Paul Maddocks, the PGM of the Craft in North Wales, Installed into the Chair.

Although he has previously held the Chair of another Mark Lodge in the Province, that being Eryri Mark Lodge No 1973, this was his Mother Lodge and, in an impeccable ceremony by his Installing Master W.Bro. Stephen Bithell, it was a very memorable night.

The evening was further enhanced by the presentation to the Lodge of the award of the Grand Master’s Keystone Fund Jewel for their charitable donations, the first Lodge in the Province to achieve such.

Then a further donation of £1,000 was given by the Lodge to the MMBF.

Elffin Advancement

November 22, 2025 Mark

Elffin Lodge No 321 welcomed its latest Advancee on Friday.

Missing a Chaplain, JO, JD, Reg of Marks and IG, those in attendance answered the prayers of the DC and stood in at very short notice.

Under the guidance of the WM, WBro Robin Jones, they proceeded to advance Bro Dafydd Meirion Evans.

At the festive board we found a stand-in for the stand-in Chaplain – all in a night’s work for this lodge.
