Team Visit to St David’s Lodge in Llandudno

The final Provincial Team visit of 2025 saw the Provincial Grand Master and his Deputy along with a large contingent of Acting Officers attend the oldest Mark lodge in North Wales – St David’s Lodge No 38 in Llandudno.

Installation of W.Bro. Paul Maddocks at St Mabon

An Extra special night for North Wales Mark Masonry.

With over 80 attendees and in front of the R.W. Provincial Grand Master John Stanley Evans and his full Team, St Mabon Mark Lodge No. 919 held their Installation meeting at Ruabon Masonic Hall.

Extra special for several reasons:

Firstly as it saw R.W.Bro. Paul Maddocks, the PGM of the Craft in North Wales, Installed into the Chair.

Although he has previously held the Chair of another Mark Lodge in the Province, that being Eryri Mark Lodge No 1973, this was his Mother Lodge and, in an impeccable ceremony by his Installing Master W.Bro. Stephen Bithell, it was a very memorable night.

The evening was further enhanced by the presentation to the Lodge of the award of the Grand Master’s Keystone Fund Jewel for their charitable donations, the first Lodge in the Province to achieve such.

Then a further donation of £1,000 was given by the Lodge to the MMBF.

Elffin Advancement

Elffin Lodge No 321 welcomed its latest Advancee on Friday.

Missing a Chaplain, JO, JD, Reg of Marks and IG, those in attendance answered the prayers of the DC and stood in at very short notice.

Under the guidance of the WM, WBro Robin Jones, they proceeded to advance Bro Dafydd Meirion Evans.

At the festive board we found a stand-in for the stand-in Chaplain – all in a night’s work for this lodge.

PGM visits Warwickshire

A great day for Warwickshire, with fantastic support from the PGMs – even the rain stopped (nearly).

North Wales Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge

There was a great turnout at Elwy Hall, Rhyl for a meeting of the North Wales Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge No 1929.

Advancement at Welchpool

Pur PGM journeyed south to Welchpool Mark Lodge No 1084 to witness the Advancement ceremony for Bro. Matthew Young, well known to many Masons in North Wales.

Also in attendance was R.W.Bro. A. P. D. Hannagan, GSW and past Grand Secretary.

St Grwst Installation

At the Installation meeting of St Grwst Mark Lodge No. 1772, the new Master W.Bro. John Smart presented the Deputy Provincial Grand Master W Bro. Colin A Lemin with a cheque for £2,500 for the N.Wales Mark Benevolent Fund, a tremendous achievement from this small Lodge based in Llanfairfechan.

Idris Mark Lodge Centenary Celebration

Tuesday the 14th of October 2025 marked the centenary for Idris Mark Lodge No 821.

After months of research, planning and stress the brethren of the lodge welcomed the Provincial Grand Master, the Deputy PGM and a large number of the current Provincial Team to Barmouth.

Deputy PGM visits the Channel Islands

This weekend saw the Deputy Provincial Grand Master W Bro. Colin Anthony Lemin in Guernsey for the Annual meeting of the Mark Province of The Channel Islands.

PGM visits Northumberland

Travelling north on Friday night, the PGM along with the deputy PGM and the immediate past Deputy PGM made a pit stop in Washington before a short drive Saturday morning.

They arrived refreshed and early at Hexham mart for the Provincial meeting for Northumberland Mark Master Masons.
