MBF donates £4000 to Nightingale House

Pictured below is W.Bro. Phillip Edwards, Deputy Provincial Grand Master, and W.Bro. Michael Pugh, Provincial Charity Steward, who recently attended Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham to present a cheque for £4,000 to the Grants & Trusts Fundraiser Christine Dukes.

This was part of the £24,000 that North Wales Mark Masons have nominated to local Hospices from the £1.25 million fund that the Mark Benevolent Fund has donated to UK Hospices in memory of the late Duke of Edinburgh

North Wales Mark Lodges have donated £24,000 to local Hospices, from the Duke of Edinburgh Memorial Fund created by the Mark Benevolent Fund.

Old Trafford Visit

The Mark Benevolent Festival Dinner which was to have taken place at Old Trafford, Manchester on 3rd July had to be postponed due to Covid concerns.

However, our Past Provincial Grand Master R.W.Bro. Peter Talbot and his wife Susan together with Deputy PGM W.Bro. Phil Edwards and his wife Rosaleen. W.Bro Mike Pugh and his wife Sandra and Bro. Martin Wynne Jones and his wife Caroline travelled to Manchester and spent an enjoyable weekend away.

PGM’s Address at the VPGL

Below you will find the text of the address to the Brethren given by the Provincial Grand Master, R.W.Bro. John S. Evans, at the Virtual Provincial Grand Lodge held via Zoom on the 28th of November 2020. The meeting was attended by a large number of Brethren from across the Province. Elffin Mark Lodge Meeting – November 2020

On November the 20th the Brethren of Elffin Mark Lodge met for the first time after the relaxation of restrictions in Wales. The meeting went very well and was enjoyed by those present.

Needless to say, the meeting was conducted in strict adherence to COVID safety protocols and with all wearing face coverings and keeping a minimum of 2m distance.

Dynamic Donation

On the 2nd of June, a number of Brethren met (social distancing being observed) at the Dynamic Centre for Children and Young Persons with Disabilities, Salisbury Road, Wrexham, to present several donations to this excellent charity.
